Are you passionate about creating a more inclusive and supportive society?
Do you want to use your skills and experience to help shape the future of a charity that empowers, enables, and supports refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and other ethnically diverse communities? If so, we invite you to consider becoming a Trustee of our charity.
What Does It Mean to Be a Trustee?
Trustees play a vital role in the leadership and governance of our organisation. As a trustee, you will be part of a dedicated team that ensures the charity is well-run, financially sound, and delivering on its mission. You’ll help set strategic direction, monitor performance, and make key decisions that impact the lives of the people we support.
You do not need previous trustee experience — just a genuine commitment to our cause, a willingness to learn, and the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively.
Your Responsibilities
As a trustee, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the charity complies with its governing document and the law
- Contributing to setting and reviewing the organisation’s strategic aims
- Safeguarding the charity’s assets and ensuring financial stability
- Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries
- Attending trustee meetings and actively participating in discussions and decision-making
Our board of trustees plays a central role in making sure that everything we do aligns with our Strategy – ensuring that our mission is fulfilled in a focused, sustainable, and effective way.
